No Kings Protest
Augusta, Maine - February 2025
On February 17, 2025, despite freezing temperatures and 40 MPH gusts of wind, hundreds of people gathered outside the Maine State House to protest Trump, Musk, and the new policies of the Trump administration. This event was part of the, "No Kings" and "Not my President's Day" protests taking part across the country. Overall, this protest was positive, uplifting, and spread a message of hope to people negativity affected by recent executive orders and policies. Peace, community, and helping each other were common themes across multiple speeches. In addition to the speakers, live music was performed alongside singing and chants.
